CONSERVATION OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS
A neo-classical, two-storey country house, built in the 1820s by Thomas Cubitt and extended in the 1900s by Sir Ambrose Poynter and the London practice Mewѐs and Davis. The plan is rectangular with single-depth ranges around a large central courtyard. There are projecting wings to the east front and north-west corner.
We researched the history of the house and wrote a report to guide ongoing conservation and adaptation.
I worked on this project while at Caroe Architecture.
